There’s some exciting news for the users, the app drawer in Samsung’s One UI update now features a vertical scroll, however, there is a downside a new watermark, ‘Secured by Knox’ has now been introduced which cannot be disabled by the users.

With the new One UI 7 update, Samsung has revamped the home screen significantly and the users can modify the size of the icons, create larger folders and explore new widgets. The app drawer has also shifted to a vertically scrolling format which has aligned with the designs that other manufacturers of Android have embraced for years.

Watermark Secured by Knox

While there are certain handy new features, one particular change stands out, in the app drawer, a noticeable Secured by Knox feature watermark is displayed at the bottom right corner which is just above the search bar. The watermark is quite persistent and it overlaps the app icons with the drawer.

This odd addition does not appear to have a clear function, though it looks like it is related to the security features of Knox for the apps in use. Regardless, it can also be quite distracting for the users since the previous versions of Samsung’s software did not include this feature.

Unfortunately, there is no option available for the users to disable it either; it is just the initial beta version of One UI 7 and there are plenty of opportunities for adjustments however this watermark is certainly a sticking point in the otherwise impressive and feature-rich update. To install the Samsung One UI 7 Beta, the users need to ensure to log in to their Samsung account, locate the program following which accepts the terms and select the Software update once the update is available, the users need to download and then restart the device to continue using the latest software version.
