University of Oxford’s innovative spin-off named Quantum Dice is the leading front of QRNG technology which is also referred to as Quantum Random Number Generator Technology.
Quantum Dice recently became a part of the sixth cohort of the Digital Security by Design (DSbD) Technology Access Program which is a new initiative supported by the UK government. The purpose of the initiative is to insert secure-by-design principles into the creation of the most powerful technologies.
Quantum Dice under this initiative will be joining hands with six other companies by using the Sonata Board which is a prototype cybersecurity technology developed by IowRISC. The technology is grounded in the CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) protection model from the University of Cambridge. It is believed that this prototype has the ability to completely revolutionise the world of cybersecurity.
Quantum Dice aims to present high-quality, verifiable quantum entropy specifically created for CHERI-based systems through his collaboration with Digital Catapult. This advancement allows critical infrastructure and IoT devices to add a secure and more verifiable entropy. The technology can be used to provide answers to the complex demands of high-security environments. These organisations and companies require memory safety, authentic verification and integrity of the device.
By harnessing the patent DISC™ protocol of Qunatum Dice for regular quantum assurance, CHERIoT and its compatible systems will have the advantage of real-time verification and entropy measurement. It will further empower device operators to assess the security of cryptographic keys and encryption methods effectively.
